Cricket Ireland - UCC CARL Research Partnership

Cricket Ireland has in 2021 partnered with the Community-Academic Research Links (CARL) at University College Cork to conduct pioneering research of the pilot Cricket Connects programme. UCC CARL has supported the output of a strong research report from Final Year student, Diekololaoluwa Prophecy Amujo entitled: 'An ethnographic exploration of the experiences of asylum seekers within direct provision undertaking a local cricket training course'. The report came from Diekololaoluwa's participation as an observer in the Cricket Connects programme pilot in Cork while she also carried out key stakeholder and programme participant interviews. The full report is available here: Cricket Ireland - UCC Cricket Connects Research
